We are a concerned coalition of Solano Taxpayers who are opposed to the squandering of our resources for ill conceived redevelopment plans. The County of Solano has an abysmal history of wasteful expenditures which have not been adequately reimbursed. From the loss of approximately $4 million on the 311 system through the millions spent on an under-utilized library building in Cordelia among other wasteful projects, the taxpayers of Solano County have been looted by the Board of Supervisors.

Now the Board has found a new way to spend our County’s reserves on a wasteful redevelopment of the County Fairgrounds. Starting in 2008 the County has spent $2 million and is budgeted to end up spending $4.5 million to a developer to bring retail to the Fairgrounds. By setting the County up to compete with existing retail in Vallejo, the Board is not only looting our reserves but further hurting the finances of a bankrupt city. In an amazing video linked to this page, the county (which is running a $16 million deficit this year) also is promising an out of town retailer a subsidy of $20 million of our dollars.

Please explore our site and contact us if you want to stop this waste of our tax dollars.
